You do want traveler's checks. Lots of benefits to traveler's checks. Here's how you get em'. Quite simply, go to your favorite bank; that bank which you do business with every day. You go to your bank. You've got several choices. There's Visa, and American Express, and a couple of other choices that are very good for you, and you will ask your banker for travelers checks in the amount that you want. Now, you will have to buy them for a small fee, but seven dollars for traveler's checks is a lot better than losing a thousand dollars worth of cash. Trust me; the travelers checks are easy to obtain, they're easy to use, and most importantly, they will provide you with a backup plan should you lose them. That's what traveler's checks are all about. Again, you need traveler's checks; go to your favorite bank. Ask for Visa or American Express or their preferred brand.
