"Hi I'm Gretchen Rivas with Relax to the Max Massage Therapy and today we are going to learn how to give a leg massage. When you are working on someone you want to make sure you put enough oil on that, especially because it depends on how much body hair they have and if they're legs are really hairy you are going to get a little bit more oil than if they're not because the hair has a tendency to soak up the oil. You want to apply the oil all over before you start working specifics on the leg, hamstrings are usually pretty tight on someone and that is always a good part to work on first. Use both of your hands and work on up through the leg. When you are working this part of the body the legs and arms you always want to work your deeper strokes towards the heart in the direction of the Venus blood flow so you don't damage the valves of the veins. Just stroke up towards that and also you can come back and forth in through the thigh like this a little bit of cross fire and friction feels really good, stroke through back and forth so it feels nice and relaxing. As you move to the next part of the leg make sure you keep it all going together and smooth and you don't just jump from one to the next, kind of glide into it. Work that calf muscle because that can get really tender on people. A lot of times you'll have tender areas right through there so be careful. Do a little bit of stroking back and forth and kneading and it depends on what they have going on with the leg of how much work you want to do and when you are done make sure you stroke the entire leg and connect everything back together and that's how you give a leg massage."
