"Hi, I'm Gretchen Rivas with Relax To The Max Massage Therapy. And today we're going to talk about, how to become a certified massage therapist. Most of the time what you want to do first is, to check and see what the regulations are for the state that you live in. Not all states have regulations regarding massage therapy, but, although the majority of them do. You can go to, amta.massage.org, which is the American Massage Therapy Associations website, and they have a list there of which states require what, and what type of certification they require, and that will help you begin the search to figure out what you need to do to become certified. Then you would have to find a school to complete your education and get your certification. And that website, and a couple of others on the web also have a lot of information about the different schools. And I would check on the schools before you go, ask a lot of questions, go and check the school out, make sure they do hands on training, and the people will actually get undressed for their training, because some schools they don't do that, and you're not going to get a lot of good training if you don't actually work on real bodies. So, see what your regulations are, check out the school you're going to go to, and then see what kind of financial aid they might have for you in case you might need that, and then go on and do what you have to do to get your degree and get certified, and get into this business, because it's a great business to be in. Thanks."
