"Hello my name is Penny Smith and I am a North Carolina real estate broker. Today I would like to talk to you about renting a house. How do I rent a house? Well you need to find the house first and foremost. If that house is listed with a property management they will help you with every step of the way with renting that house. If it is a house that is being rented by an individual then you need to talk to them and you need to carefully read over the lease or the contract and you need to have someone that is comparable to know what that contract is saying. Everything is negotiable, everything is. If that contract says something that you don't care for, discuss it with the landlord. Ask him to remove it or discuss what can be done to compromise. Everything is negotiable when you are talking about a contract. If you need the advice of an attorney go get one and that is my recommendation on how to rent a house. Thank you."
