"Hello my name is Penny Smith and I'm a North Carolina real estate broker. Today I'd like to talk to you about how to have an open house. To have an open house you need to advertise, advertise, advertise. You also need to have signs and balloons and directional signs to that house and you need to make that house very inviting. Do not have a vehicle in the driveway. Park your vehicle down the street so that there is plenty of room for people to stop and park to come into your home. Be sure to have the door open. If you don't have a storm door be sure to have a sign on the door that says welcome come right in. Make sure that you have a piece of paper to capture their name and ask for their e-mail address so that you can contact them to find out what they thought about the house and if there is any interest later. Be sure to get them your e-mail address so that they can contact you and find out any questions that they need answers to. These are my recommendations for holding an open house. I hope you have a wonderful day and we'll talk to you again soon."
