"So you have dinner plans and you're inviting someone in, and you're getting ready to get up and set up a dining table. It can be a little bit confusing with all the silverware, glasses and everything. Hi, I'm Hazely Lopez from Hazely Academy of Refinement and Modeling. And I'm here to talk to you about how to set up a dining table. Alright let's take a look at some pictures in here because we actually have different things depending on how elaborate you want to go. You can go on the informal side or you can go on the more formal side. It's really going to depend on how you want to serve your guest's and also the importance of that guest. If it's somebody that's maybe a friend or something like that, you may want to try the informal. If it's somebody who maybe from the company you work for or somebody like that then you might want to try and do the formal setting. But let's go ahead and at least take that informal part in so you can know what to do and then further on when you get good at it you can try the formal one. Alright let's start by taking a look at the informal place setting. And we actually see here that we have different forks and different glasses and all that. And basically we're going to start with the basics. Your silverware basically has to be about a inch up the table. You want to make sure you're putting that in a proper way where it's not to close to the end where they can fall or too far away from their hands that they cannot reach it properly. Then you're going to be using of course the salad fork which is your first one, that's going to go on the far left side. Then you're going to follow that with the actual standard fork which is used for the meals and the courses. And then we're going to follow with the plate, then it goes the knife and then you're going to have the spoon which is used for soups. Also you're going to be seating; seeing the informal in the informal setting that you're going to be using a water glass that you may use to offer your guest. And also you're going to have a red wine glass. This is something really good because you can just make it your own. Also you can move up from here from the basics to a formal setting. Basically this; you're only using one plate. If you are offering in your dinner more than one course, you want to make sure that you're just replacing that plate. That's how easy it is. If you want to go a little bit more elaborate let's take a quick peek at the actual formal setting of a table. And basically it's a little bit different, you're going to be of course having the bread plate on the far left half; side. Then you're going to have the dinner; the desert silverware on top. And then you're also going to have maybe an appetizer fork on the right far side. You're also going to be of course using a soup which is served in a service plate. And you're also going to be using the bigger plate which is called a charger plate which goes, that's where everything else goes in it. Also you may see that in this one you're going to be looking at a white wine glass which is on the far top right side. And you're also going to be looking at the little tiny glass which is for like an after drink glass. It's really simple, you just have to get used to and look at what is best for you, what's going to suit that dinning activity that you want to make for you. So I'm Hazely Lopez from Hazely Academy of Refinement and Modeling. And just make sure that you do the best you can and always remember that a table says a lot about you, and your image."
