"Hi I'm Tristan McCauley from Lucky Seven Tatoo and I'm here to show you how to stretch an ear piercing. When considering how to stretch your ears there are a few options you can go with. You can go with a taper which is a faster way to do it. It is not as safe as some of the other options but it gets the job done. You have longer tapers which are more gradual or you have more streamed gages that will pretty much just open it wide up. Another option you have is teflon tape and you just take your gage out and you go one or two wraps every day with the teflon tape tearing it off and just sticking it back in. Every time you ear will get used to that and you can stretch it a little bit slower but it is safer. Another option you have is a weighted piece of jewelry. This is a bit extreme for what I am trying to tell you but it is a weighted piece of jewelry. It is pretty heavy and it just kind of stretches your ear lobe out allowing you to stretch a little bit faster. Some of the risks that you have with that are blow outs. Blow outs are basically when there is so much pressure on the inside of the gage that it pushes the flesh out from around the gage and it just basically looks like a mass of flesh coming from the back and that is probably the biggest risk for stretching if you stretch too fast and that is how you stretch an ear piercing."
