"You've just gone to the mailbox, and you've got a notice of a tax lien. And your heart sinks. Hello, I'm Robert Todd, and I'm here to answer the question, How to Remove a Tax Lien? Well, the first thing you want to determine is what type of tax lien is it? Is it a tax lien from your state in which you're living, or the county in which you're living for failure to pay property taxes on property that you own? Or is this a tax lien for the Internal Revenue Service, that is more encompassing, that is on taxes that you haven't paid the Internal Revenue Service. If it's the former, and it involves taxes of property you own in the state, you may check with your state officials, or local court officials, to find out how the tax lien can be removed, and then act in accordance with their instructions. It can be as simple as that. With regard to Internal Revenue Service tax liens, we recommend that you consider hiring a tax specialist to remove the lien. These are complex, complicated areas of the law, and involve special training to make sure you're doing the right thing. I'm Robert Todd, and thank you for watching."
