"Dealing with a collection agency. Hi, I'm Carrie Kukuda the Someday Coach. A fine question to ask is will a collection agency sue me? Any debt collector or credit agency can sue you. They can put a lawsuit against you to collect on debt. But they can't threaten you so you got to be careful. They need to be careful in what they do and how they handle it. They can't harass you and they can't invade your privacy. So if you want to learn more about that, I would suggest to learn more about your rights with the FDCPA which is your Fair Debt Collection Privacy Act. They'll have more information on what is considered harassment and what is invading your privacy. So keep in mind that they can sue you for collection on a debt. So you're best bet is to pay them so that you don't get yourself involved with a lawsuit but that do know your rights and go to the, and find more information out with the FDCPA. That's my suggestions. Thank you and again, I am Carrie Kukuda."
