How to Style Hair With Flat Twists

"Hi my name is Lauren and today I'm going to be going over how to style hair with flat twists. Flat twists are a little bit more flush to your head. What I'm going to do is section the hair off. You can make a choice of how you'd like to section it. You can use this in order to create a headband effect and only go back to about the crown of your head. You may section it where it is straight going back where there is distinct parts in between your flat twists or you may do a zigzag part by placing your tail comb and simply zigzagging back and forth as you go to section. So that way you have a bit of a zigzag. Once you get your sections and figure out how far back you'd like your twists to go, you are going to take a tail comb such as this and you are going to lay it right by the head. You can lift it about a half inch. You're going to take the hair, move it into the hand that's holding the tail comb and then simply twist with the tail comb. That will help make your flat twists a little bit flatter towards your head. You will then take a bobby pin and you will place it by secure your flat twists by placing it directly going into that flat twist so that way it will stay flush to your head and you won't be able to see it. And that is how to style a flat twist."
