"Hi, my name is Lauren and I am going to discuss today how to use velcro rollers. When using velcro rollers it makes it a little bit easier because there is no clip. All you need to do is roll it in because it will stick to your hair. There are two types that you can get. You can get one that is all covered with velcro and the other one which just has your velcro at the edges. Both of them work really well. I find that in doing it yourself at home, the all over velcro tends to stick a bit better and makes your life a little bit more easier when putting them in. Now, all velcro usually come in different diameters depending on the size of the curl you want and also depending on the length of your hair. If your hair is a little bit shorter you are going to want to use a smaller diameter because it will stay a little bit better within the hair. Plus it will give you a bit of a curl. Now a good rule of thumb for this is to only use scrap sections that have the width of the actual rod that you are using or the roller that you are using. That way you are not taking too much hair and it makes it a little bit easier for you to roll. Plus, most of your hair will actually set. I usually suggest because the velcro is not heated to give it a little bit of spray. And then simply drag the hair out and roll it back. Once it gets to here it will lock itself in. So that does make it a little bit easier not having to fumble with any clips or try to figure out a way to secure it. Velcro rollers will automatically just somewhat secure themselves. If you want a bit of a variation in the curl you can use varying rod sizes. Sometimes a little bit of a variation in the actual curl will make it look a little bit more natural looking. Curly hair tends to have different sized curls and different textured curls so using different curl rod sizes and getting a different size curl will actually make the look a little bit more natural looking. And that is how to use velcro curlers."
