"Hi I'm Doctor Savage. You are concerned about how Gonorrhea can actually facilitate the transmission of HIV. This is on the physiology of how Gonorrhea which is a bacteria, STD actually lives in the general system and urinary system. What happens typically is you'll have an infection in the urethral tract which would either be you know, the penis, inside of the penis, or the urethral tract that goes from the bladder out through the vagina. What happens in most infections is inflammation occurs in those areas. And with just inflammation itself having this tissue inflamed allows more fluids to be crossed and absorbed through that area. Also what can happen is little ulcerations where this infection is taking place will even have a greater amount of susceptibility to transmission of someone else's bodily fluids into your blood stream. If that person is infected with HIV and transmits those bodily fluids which has the HIV virus in it that would leave you susceptible to HIV. I am sure this has been informative, I'm Doctor Savage here's to your health."
