How to Write a Vision Statement for a Company

"Hi I'm Laura from youngwritersworkshops.com and I'm going to talk about how to write a vision statement for a company. The first step in writing a vision statement is to make a list of all of the values and attributes of the company that are positive that you might wan to include in a vision statement and this can also include things that that company does and wants to achieve so make a really broad list of all the positive attributes and scriptions of the company. Your next step is to try and form or create a statement using as many of these words as makes sense, not cramming too many words as to make it not make sense. But create an active statement or a list of active statements that describe the hopes and the goals and the accomplishments of the company. Now you'll want to narrow the list down and use a focus group, it can be an informal focus group but use a group of potential customers from different sectors of the industry that work with the company and get their responses to these statements. This statement is going to be very important to your company and used in your marketing efforts so you really want to make sure that it is positive and make sure that it is received well by all the potential customers. Now your next step after you have done the focus group is to compile all of the feedback that you have gotten and come up with the most positive, the most well received vision statement that you are able to write. Use this vision statement in all of your materials so that it is communicated and becomes a part of your company's public relations and marketing communications.
