"Hi I'm Laura from youngwritersworkshops.com and I'm going to talk about how to publish a cookbook. Unless you are a celebrity chef or a famous restauranteer or have published a lot of other cookbooks the major publishing houses, the major publishers out there are probably not the way to go to publish your cookbook but the good news is that there are lots of small publishers that you can look to as potential markets for your cookbook so when you have your material together ready to publish that is probably the way to begin your research is to look at the smaller publishers that might be looking to publish a book in the area that is the topic of what you have written. Now when you identify a publisher or two that you think might be a good fit that would publish the kinds of material that you have written and are looking for new authors make sure that you follow their guidelines, follow their guidelines very closely when you submit your package. They may ask you to submit the entire manuscript. They may ask just for a single chapter so whatever it is that they are looking for follow that directly. You can obtain the guidelines from the publisher's website or from the writer's market which is a compilation of all of the publisher guidelines information in a given year. Now the other option to think about is self publishing and for a cookbook you would want to think about what it is going to cost you to publish the book and how many copies you would be able to sell and if that ratio of how much it is going to cost you and how many you think you're going to sell is going to make you some money in the end so think about that as another option for publishing your cookbook. Think about how you would market it and who would be interested in it and then you can follow the self publication route. Lulu.com is one site where you can very easily self publish a book.
