"Hi, I'm Laura, from youngwritersworkshops.com. I'm going to talk about how to make a friendship book. A friendship book can be a great way to gather memories together, and and also have a space where you can share thoughts about your friend. It could be really simple. It can be a scrapbook that's already in existence that you can add pages to. It could even be paper, you know, papers bound together with strings or stapled together. It could be really simple. I'm I've used a a notebook, like a three-ring binder that can, you can put the pages in; where you can slide something into the plastic covered pages. This way they will stay, keep it from ripping or anything happening to them. At the same time, you'll be able to remove things from them easily. In the friendship book you want to include memories that you've shared; things like tickets or programs, anything you've attended together. Photographs are great of course, so any, any, any little souvenirs that are small enough to fit into a book can be great. So, it's almost like a scrapbook, but a different, but it's based on the theme of your friendship, so you want to focus on experiences that you've had with this friend. I like to encourage people to write their thoughts, and also to collect thoughts from other friends too. So, the last page can be a page where you include just a blank page for reflections and people's thoughts; kind of like an autograph page. You might want to include a photograph of the friend so that the, the people people will comment directly on that photograph. I also like to include some extra blank pages for future memories, and places to to affix things that happen as you continue forward in your life as friends. So, a notebook is a good way to start out. It's really simple. You can include the pages with memories, programs, tickets, any pictures that you have of you and your friend together. And then also, give it room to expand so that you can record your life as friends together in the future. That's a little bit about making a friendship book."
