"Hi, I'm Laura from youngwritersworkshops.com and I'm going to talk about how to write a business report. I think the key to writing an effective business report is knowing your audience. Bare in mind that a lot of times when you're writing for a business audience you have to be very succinct and to the point. Your reader wants to get as much information as quickly as possible without any extra that's unnecessary. So keep your scope really narrow. When you're writing a report about something specific define it with an executive summary then stick to that point, use bullet points as much as possible to make the information accessible. You also want to use language that's very specific and very direct. No flowery language, no extra redundant words, keep it very straight forward and concise. You also want to bare in mind that you need to prevent, present a very polished professional report so for this audience, so proof-read, have extra proof reading help, make sure you follow all the mechanics like capitalization, punctuation and spelling, all those things while very basic are extra important in a business report, and write a clear summary so that your reader will receive the information in a clear way, have it summarized, it will be accessible to them, and it will make your point in a clear way. So that's just a little bit about how to write a business report."
