"My name is Gloria Campbell, I'm with Advantage Training Systems located in St. Petersburg, Florida. You've gotten the job interview, you've done a great job, now, how do you compose your thank you letter? There are several things that - elements that you want to make sure are included. First you always want to date it, and then in the body of the letter, you want to thank the interviewer for their time, you may also want to put in that thank you letter, something that stood out about the interviewer, about the company, about why you want to go work for that company. You also may want to include the job and a little something about yourself that will trigger their memory, and set you apart. The other thing I highly suggest is nice stationery. Don't do it on memo pad, and, I would also highly suggest a handwritten thank you letter. Now, if you don't have great handwriting, either get someone to do it for you, or you could type it, but a handwritten thank you note with some personal information in there about what the interview meant to you is certainly a way to set yourself apart from other interviewers. It's not obsolete, people like that, and trust me, not everyone is going to do it. This is a competitive situation that we have today, the person that gets the job goes beyond just the interview. After the interview and what happens can be just as important. Composing that thank you letter and making that interviewer remember you is one of the things that will help get you to the next level. Remember, this is Gloria Campbell, with Advantage Training Systems in St. Petersburg, Florida, composing a great letter, getting it to that interviewer as soon after your interview as possible, is a way to set yourself apart and guarantee that you're going to get that job."
