"I am Gloria Campbell with Advantage Training Systems located in St. Petersburg, Florida. Interviewing at lunch can be a tricky thing so make sure that you write down a few of the tips and techniques that I am going to give you right now. First of all if you are going to have a lunch appointment, get there early, kind of scope out the restaurant and make sure that you are familiar with maybe what is on the menu. The next thing to do is take your cue from the interviewer. If they order a salad whether you like salads or not, I would order one if I were you. If they order alcohol, do not order alcohol, do not smoke, do not chew gum. It does not matter what your interviewer is doing, remember they have the job, you're trying to get one. The next suggestion I would have is make sure you understand the protocol. Understand which fork you are going to use, make sure you know which one is your water glass, make sure that you don't order the most expensive thing on the menu and remember why you are there, not to eat but to interview. Stay focused on the interview, make sure that you listen for the questions and that you have great answers to the questions. Interviewing at lunch can be a very informal and fun thing if you just follow some real protocols that will help you get to the next level.
