"Ahh, the battery's dead. Nothings more annoying. Hi, I'm Rokosz, your digital life style expert. And I'm going to show you how to extend the battery life and replace the battery on your iPhone. Well, first thing to extend the life of the battery, even with these new modern batteries, having good charging is important. And what do I mean by good charging habits? Well, it's this, is letting the battery go as dead as it can without, you know not having your phone handy and then charging it back up fully. Having it sitting on a charger constantly or charging it a quarter then using it down then charging it a half and using it down, and then leaving it on over night till it uses up all its battery and dies and then plugging it in to get enough juice on the way to work in the car. These are all ways to not maximize the life of the battery. Your best bet is as much of a full drain as you can, complete drain is good and then a full charge. That'll keep the battery working at its absolute best. Now, if you've really taken a quick look at, well not a quick look, but a detailed look rather, at the iPhone you might be saying, well I'm glad I'm watching this because it'll show me how to replace the battery. You don't want to replace the battery. You can't. The battery inside of the iPhone is a non user replacement part. You say, Rokosz, well what do I do? Well, either go to the local Apple store and if you don't have one, contact Apple, send them back. Because here's the deal it's because it's a non user replacement part, if you've come across a new iPhone battery, well you've done it in a non normal way. You can't go in to a battery store and buy a battery for the iPhone. And even battery stores that sell nothing but batteries don't do replacements of these. In fact if you try to replace it, you try to even get in to the compartment where it is, your warranty disappears. So battery dead, contact Apple. If it's under warranty it's no big deal, if it isn't they'll still replace it for a reasonable fee and get it back up and running. And you want to do that quickly, if you're anything like me, you can't live without this darn thing. I'm Rokosz, your digital life style expert saying, ring you later."
