"Ever taken a sea cruise, been on a cruise ship? How to get help after a divorce. This is Doctor Paul, author of Boomer Girls, a Boomer Woman's Guide to Men and Dating, and host of Ask Doctor Paul. I've had some interesting responses to that as a host, and I've had women call me and say things that I hadn't really considered. One of the most interesting is, and a lot of women have done this, they take a cruise. Or they go to another city, or they go with a friend and go out of the country. Somehow, it tends to rehabilitate them. That changes their perspective. Here's how other people live. They go to a city. Maybe they live in Miami and they go to Toronto, or they live in Dallas and go to New York City, and it changes their perspective. They've been in this rut for a long time, and now the help comes from an outside influence such as travel. That can help. I would recommend that, because it's that first step to help without going to friends and relatives that I highly, highly recommend against. It's a wallowing in the same old problems and it's over and over and over. Don't go there! Go on your own with friends, go to another location, go to another country... enjoy your life a little bit. It's called "self-rehabilitation". It works. This is Dr. Paul. May your fantasies of today be your realities of tomorrow."
