"Where there's hope, there's cope. How to cope with divorce. This is Dr. Paul, author of "Boomer Girls! A Boomer Woman's Guide to Men and Dating", and host of "Ask Dr. Paul". I know that may sound trite - how to cope with divorce, where there's hope there's cope - but there's a lot to that. Hope brings eternal in the human breast. And if you have the hope it means that I still believe in mankind, womankind - you know, however you want to cut it. The bottom line is that you believe that there's something out there for you, and the only way that you're going to cope with the divorce is to believe in your self-worth. And one of the ways in which you believe in your self-worth is to have hope. Okay? Without that, you're doomed. What was it at the gates of hell? Abandon all hope ye who enter here? Well, if you abandon hope, you are doomed. You're entering the gates of hell, and it's going to be your own personal hell for the rest of your life. So, have hope, and believe that something good will happen to you. And guess what? It will. Look, for every door that shuts, there's another door that opens. This is Dr. Paul. May your fantasies of today be your realities of tomorrow."
