"Shyness is an attribute that few people really have. So how do you date a shyman? This is Doctor Paul, author of Boomer Girls: A Boomer Woman's Guide to Men and Dating and host of Ask Doctor Paul. The shy man is typically looking for a strong woman. That indicates to him that he is going to feel secure with her. I've had many women call who say their boyfriends or husbands or significant others, fiances, happen to be shy. When I ask them about that, they say that's somebody I really have been looking for all of my life. And sometimes I'm surprised and I ask why and they say because I want someone who needs my strength. So if you feel that you're a very strong woman and you feel good about dating a man who is shy, he will look to you for strength. So it's a symbiotic relationship, it's a really good thing, and how to date a shy man, know yourself. If you feel comfortable with a shy man, it's because there's a reason. You may have a need to have the strength in that relationship as a woman. So, how to date a shy man? You do it because you feel you want to do it, and when you choose to do it, it becomes automatically, you will have that balance for that other person.
