"Everybody likes to go out and get drunk. However we've all been in situations where things have turned out terribly. Perhaps somebody's got hurt, somebody's done something stupid. There are ways to get around this. Ways to not do this. My name's Micah, and I'm going to talk to you about how to get drunk, but still stay safe. Most important thing is to always take care of yourself. Before you go out drinking, while you're drinking, and after you're drinking. Before you're drinking, be well fed. Don't start drinking on an empty stomach, it's a recipe for sickness, for throwing up, and for getting too drunk too fast. Make sure you have a full belly, and that you're well hydrated and rested. If you go out drinking when you're tired or angry or upset, it intensifies the likelihood that you're probably going to have an issue at some point. During your drinking, be sure to have plenty of water. It's not a weak move to ask for a glass of water after a few cocktails. Every couple, they say one for one, I know people don't want to drink that much water. But every couple of cocktails it's nice to hydrate with a plain glass of water. And it will help you from getting too drunk. And it will also keep your body feeling better for the day after. When you go home, first of all don't go home with anyone who's been drinking and driving. Don't get in the car with anybody who's at all drunk. And don't drive yourself, take a taxi, walk, it's worth it. Trust me. When you get home, you're going to want to take some vitamins, perhaps a multi-vitamin. Vitamin B. You're also going to want to take some aspirin perhaps, to fend off the headache in the morning. And drink at least two large glasses of water. This helps rehydrate your brain, and your body and keep you from feeling sick in the morning so you can go out again the next night. My name's Micah and that's how to get drunk safely."
