"So you're having a party, and you've got a lovely new bar, and you need to know how to set it up. My name is Micah, and I'm going to show you how to set up a bar. First thing's first, nobody likes a dirty bar. Nobody likes a sticky bar. Make sure your bar is clean. Take a towel. Wipe it all down. Make sure you have all that left over sticky residue from your last party off of there. Next thing, you're going to want a pour strip. This is a pour strip. As you can see, it's got different rubber nodes here. Traps the liquid. Keeps it off from from running off of your bar and getting all over as you pour, small spills, liquor splashes, what not. And it's also a safe non-slip surface that you put your glasses on as you pour. So that's first thing. Next, you're going to want a napkin and straw caddy. This is important cause you want to be able to reach close and drop your straws in your drink as you pour. Maybe set out a bev nap. You can wrap it with their beer around it. Or also around their glass. Or keeps your furniture from getting stained when people put their glasses down on your bare furniture. You want napkins, straws. Next thing, you want to have your bar tools handy. I'm going to grab my strainer or my shaker, excuse me, my shaking glass and my strainer. Important things when I'm setting up a bar. Next thing you want is a fruit tray. Now I don't I don't have any fruit cut in here right now. You want to have that pre-prepared as well. It has limes, lemons, perhaps oranges, cherries, and olives in there. You might also want to bring some sugar and salt for various things and make sure you have those handy. But the most important thing when you're setting up your bar is having all the tools you need to make your cocktails and your guests happy right at your disposal. You don't want to be reaching all over for things or running around over here or over there to grab this or that. Have your tools with you. It'll make you a better bartender and a better host. My name is Micah, and this has been how to set up a bar."
