Now, it's often nice to invite your friends over for a party and provide everything for them. However, you might not have the money for that or you just may not feel like doing it. So a lot of people plan stock the bar parties where people bring over a bottle or some beer, some kind of beverage. Drink what they drink there and then leave it when they go. So you get the left-overs to stock your bar. Pretty sweet deal. However, you don't want to end up with all the same thing, too much of one thing, none of another. So there's a couple of strategies you can use to plan your stock the bar party. Separate your friends into different categories. Let them know if they need to bring beer, wine or liquor. For the liquor group, make sure the people know which kind of liquors they're bringing. You don't want to end up with all whiskey and have no vodka. Know what kind of drinks your friend your guests want to be drinking. Try to tell people, guide them in their purchases and what to bring. Now you don't want to just set out a list and say, "You, bring me a bottle of Makers Mark. You, bring me some Absolut." You don't want to put any pressure on people that way. However, you might say you know, "You're in the brown liquor group. Bring something like that." These are a few strategies you can use to stock your bar for free. My name is Micah, and this is how to have a stock-the-bar party."
