"Hi, I'm Tim Gipson and I'm going to show you how to unclog a kitchen sink. Now, first thing we can do is we can use a chemical type of agent - if you have standing water in your sink, then it's probably a pretty good idea to use something that has a gel or a thicker penetrating type of commercial product. This allows it to penetrate down through the water and actually get down to the drain where it can start resolving that. Now beyond that, there are some household products that we can use that you typically have around all the time. What this consists of is making a baking soda mixture and this is the first thing that we're going to pour in. So what we want to do is we want to put baking soda in here and add just enough water where it creates a very thick mixture. We want it as thick as we can get it, but where it'll still pour. And then we can pour that down the drain and then we can follow it up with a cup of vinegar. What this will do is create a foaming action to get down in there, penetrate and break up the - it's usually a grease or a combination of grease and food particles that are in there that clog up that sink. So those will work together and we allow that to work for about ten minutes, and then we'll simply follow it up with a pot of boiling water. Now in this boiling water we put a cup of salt water so we create a brine solution. We pour that down through there and that'll break up the clog. Now sometimes we have to repeat this and do a couple of boiling water, and whichever we use, whether we use the chemicals or the natural solutions to unclog, we always want to finish up by letting hot water from the faucet run for about ten minutes to clear all that out. So I'm Tim Gipson and that's how to unclog a kitchen sink."
