"Have you ever wondered about the history of chair massage? Well I'm going to tell you today. I'm Sundae with Natural Sundae. Now chair massage has been around since the beginning of time basically when massage therapy began, because it's basically just a form, a portable form of massage, it's just using a chair. And the first massage chair was actually invented in 1986 and it weighed thirty-six pounds and it came, it was made out of a big, heavy wooden box and it quickly expanded into a chair. However, this proved to be really heavy for the poor therapist who had to lug it around everywhere, and not as comfortable for the clients that were sitting in it. Now it took about ten years, but ten years later there was a new version made. It was invented out of metal which made it much lighter for the therapist to carry and much more comfortable for the client to sit in. And of course, with the addition of extra padding and the strategically placed parts on the chair, it made it very, very comfortable to work with and to sit in. So that's just a very brief history on the, the history of the massage chair, and I hope you've learned a little bit about it today. I'm Sundae with Natural Sundae. Thanks."
