"Hi there if you are curious about what a sports massage is I'm going to tell you. I'm Sundae with Natural Sundae. Now a sports massage is a very specialized form of massage therapy that you must learn in an accredited massage school program. Not anyone can just walk in off the street and give a sports massage, I would not recommend that at all. With sports massage there are definitely two kinds of sports massage. Now you are going to give the athlete before their performance and afterwards and these two types of massages differ greatly because you are going through a different phase here so when you are preparing the athlete for performance you are going to want to wake up the issue, you are not going to want to relax the athlete at all. You are going to want to wake up that tissue and you are going to want to do some supodament and increase that circulation you see it is already starting to get pink right along here so do some supadoment and you can do some vibration which is circular compression to really wake them up and get them ready to perform at their peak level. Now after they perform they are going to be exhausted and your goal is different. You are going to want to relax the athlete and you are going to want to milk all those toxins out. They are exhausted so you really just want to make them feel good, you want to relax those muscles and bring them back to speak. So those are a few focuses of a sports massage before and after a performance and like I said I would not recommend doing a performance sports massage on athletes unless you are qualified to do so. So that is just a little bit about sports massage. I'm Sundae with Natural Sundae. Take it easy."
