"Hi, I'm Amelia, and I'm going to talk to you about how to do dimensional color at home. Now, for argument sake we're going to talk about doing it on your friend, not necessarily doing it on yourself, because that makes it a lot more difficult. There's a lot of different techniques to do dimensional color, and what dimensional color is is it's adding more than one color, including your own to your hair, so that would be a highlight and a lowlight. So, you could use a lightener and then maybe use a semi-permanent color or even a permanent color for a darker color. You could even use a permanent color that's a little bit lighter than your natural, and then a bleach as a highlight. There's a lot of different options for you whenever you're doing dimensional color. You could do a cap which is this, and then the needle and you would just simply put this on the hair and pull the hair through the holes. The problem with doing dimensional color with a cap is that you're going to have to be really careful about where you place those colors, so a good choice but not your best choice. Your next choice would be something like this, and this is basically a mascara wand for all intents and purposes, and this would be just, and this is something that you could do dimensional color on yourself. I would get two; one for the lightener, and one for the lowlight, and you would just paint this on. Sometimes this doesn't work if your hair is very dark, and you're trying to get it to a much lighter color. Good choice but not your best choice. Truly, your best choice for doing dimensional color at home would be this; foil and a foiling comb, and you would just simply foil the hair; one color being the highlight, the next color being the lowlight. And that's how you do dimensional color at home."
