"Hi, I'm Amelia and I'm going to show you tools to use for hair relaxing. One of my favorite tools is a flat ended brush, so it doesn't have bristles like a traditional brush, it actually is flat and plastic. And this does a great job of actually getting in there and smoothing that hair as your applying that relaxer. Another thing you're going to want to make sure that you have are gloves. So you always make sure that you got gloves on before you apply the relaxer. You're going to want to section the hair and with that, you're going to need clips. So make sure that you have that hair sectioned out. You're also going to want to have a cape or something to protect your, the person that you're doing the relaxer on and a few towels and a good place to rinse. You're going to need a sink and the neutralizing shampoo and any of the treatments that comes with the relaxer. And when you're doing the relaxer, it's all based on time. So if you're slow at it or if it's a virgin relax or in other words, the hair has never been relaxed before, you're going to want to make sure that you maybe do half the head and then come back and do the other half. So you're going to, as you apply, you're just going to apply the relaxer all over and then you can come back and then with the back of the comb, or your finger, you can start to smooth that hair down as well. You're not going to want to use the descend of the comb because this can actually rip the hair 'cause as that hair is being relaxed, it's in a soften state. You're going to want to use the back of the comb, or like I said, the flat end of the brush to help smooth that hair down to the scalp so that you get a nice relaxed look. And those are the tools that you'll need for a relaxer."
