"Hi, this is Laura Turner, and today, I'm going to give you some tips for setting up your kindergarten classroom. The most important thing about setting up a kindergarten classroom is to make it a fun environment that has lots of different things for kids to do in it. So what you'll want to do, first, is to create a map of all the play areas that you're going to make for your kids. I would suggest having anywhere from three to five play areas. One can be your art area where you'll actually have your little easels and your art supplies and your paper for kids who want to draw. Also, you can have a writing area where kids an experiment with writing materials and pencils, and also couple that and make it a writing and reading area where kids can also read and, you know, draw in books or coloring books -- things like that. And next, you might want to create a math area or a cognitive skills area with blocks and numbers and puzzles for the more math-oriented kids to work with. And finally, you can create a whole puppet play area for your kids to actually put on puppets and make plays for each other during the day so that they will have absolutely everything in the whole world they could possibly want to do in your kindergarten class. So the most important thing is to make it fun, to have a place for everybody, and just have fun with it."
