"Hi this is Laura Turner and today we are going to talk about setting personal health goals for children. One of the best things that kids can learn when they are growing up is that you should take care of your body and take care of yourself. So it's really important for you as a parent to try to set up these health goals for kids right at the very beginning of their development. Set up a, number one you can actually set up a weekly goals and rewards for kids who brush their teeth before bed. If a kid has brushed their teeth every single night before bed, maybe you can say the reward for that week will be that the full family will go and see a movie. So try to implement rewards for good health habits. So that the kid will actually make those adjustments in their lifestyle according to what they are going to get in return. Make sure the kids also wash their faces and brush their hair. And probably do it by themselves and make sure that they get into a daily routine where they do this for themselves as they grow older. Make sure also that children learn to floss and to maintain their nails and their toenails things like that come later of course if you've got smaller children who can't handle this kind of personal health grooming stuff. But just make sure that you do teach that to them and that you can also implement that same reward system for doing that for themselves. And of course remember to make your children take their baths regularly and those are just some ideas for setting personal health goals for children."
