"Hi, this is Laura Turner and I want to talk to you today about how to become a teacher in the state of Texas. The state of Texas is very big and requires lots people to educate all the children who live there. So you're really not going to find any trouble finding a job teaching in Texas, in my estimation. But first of all of course what you want to do is you want to actually go to school and get your bachelors degree in your required field, either in education or just in the subject that you want to teach. If you get your education degree you're going to automatically probably get your certification in whatever state you obtained your degree. But for Texas you're going to need to for the most part obtain your certification in the state of Texas. So you're going to have to go through the certification process again. In order to do this you should first of course contact the district in which you want to teach, and then they can point you in the right direction from there. Next, after you've gone through the certification process you should start sending out applications and even if you want to you could start doing that before you get your certification, so people can start looking at you and considering you. And in your applications you should actually make up your academic curriculum vitae, which is going to hold everything in it that you've done throughout your life, all of your interests, all of your prior teaching experience if you've had any in school, so that you can look as attractive as possible to schools and get in to the best school possible. Next you're going to have to know of course what grade and subjects that you want to teach, in order to get certified. So apply for the job that you are certified for and know exactly what you want to teach. Finally, interview in the districts in which you want to teach. And when you go in to interview with them be as honest as possible with them and as excited as you can be because teaching is a really good job and it's a job that's going to keep you passionate through out your life and you're going to affect so many people. So after you've done all the necessary steps to get there, go out and really start teaching."
