"Hi this Laura Turner and today I'm going to talk with you about how to get a teaching certificate in Texas. First of all you're going to want to contact the district in which you want to teach. And they can help you to proceed on the correct path. Of course, you want to start talking to some schools and if you need to be certified in order to teach in this school. Most schools in Texas will require Texas based certification as opposed to other state's certification. Next get proof of your Bachelor's Degree. Proof that you have graduated and actually submit that with your application for certification. So go through your district, go through the application process. Next decide what level of kids you want to teach. And, of course, what kind of classes you want to teach; what subject. This will determine what kind of classes you'll have to take and what root you're going to take when you get your certification. Next you're going to start taking your certification courses. If you are certified in another state, you might actually be able to bypass this route. But usually, you're going to have to start really taking those courses. This may take months for you to get certified. Next, after you've taken all your classes and you've submitted your application and you know what you want to teach, you've gone down the road that you need to go down, you're going to want to take the test for certification. So essentially pass the bar for a teacher's certification. The test exam of Educator's Standards and the Certification of Educators in Texas are two of the tests that you must pass or have a passing grade when you're finished with them. And finally, once you're finished with all this stuff, you can rejoice and get your job and start to teach."
