"Hi this is Laura Turner and today I'm going to talk to you about how to interview for a teaching job. The most important thing that you are going to need to develop for your interview process as a teacher interviewing is your curriculum vita or your CV which is going to contain all your information about your education, your teaching experience, your teaching interests and really anything relevant that you have actually done in the past so you can actually let other people who are looking at your application know that you are qualified for this job. Next whenever you finally get into your interview after you have gone through the certification process if you are wanting to teach elementary kids or if you are going to be a professor after you have figured out how to get in to see someone, while you are interviewing you should be very professional looking and give your honest opinion as to why you would be a great teacher for their particular school and this also requires research on your part as far as what programs the school has to offer, how many teachers are in your particular department, what you can offer in your area of expertise to the department that you are going to to teach in. Next sometimes if you are interviewing for a teaching position you are going to actually have to give sample classes, especially if you are interviewing for a professorship at a university so my suggestion for these classes is to use the classes is to know the best you've taught the most some of the ones that are tried and true for you and of course some of the ones that are most interesting and showcase your most specific areas of interests, stuff that you can talk about the most. And finally good luck with your interview and hopefully you'll nail that job."
