Well, first of all, it varies from state to state, but the first question that I want to ask myself, if I were you is, "If I fight it and lose am I going to pay more than if I simply pay the fine? If I fight it do I have a chance of prevailing? If I don't have a chance of prevailing should I consider hiring a lawyer to represent me? These are all questions that you should be asking yourself if you're even pondering the question, should I fight the speeding ticket? First of all, was the speeding ticket based on an officers subjective observation, or did the officer have some type of mechanical device? it may not be as easily challenged. Second, was there a mistake of fact made by the officer? These are the type of questions you should ask if you are pondering do I fight a speeding ticket. I'm Robert Todd, and thank you for watching."
