"You want to locate someone who is incarcerated. Hi, I'm Robert Todd and I'm here to answer the question "how do I locate someone who is incarcerated"? Well, one of the databases that you might check first is the Federal Bureau of Prisons to locate anyone who might be in a Federal Prison or a Federal Institution. Another way is to check a State or County correctional institute by a database, known as VINELink. You also may want to consider the possibility that the person you're trying to locate, who was incarcerated, has now been released on probation and, thus, wouldn't be part of any of these databases that we've referenced previously. Another way, of course, is to hire a private investigator, which can be costly and can basically waste your money. I would recommend that you try to do this through one of the previously mentioned sources. I'm Robert Todd and thank you for watching."
