"Hi, my name's Rachel. And I'm the owner of austinstylewatch.com street fashion site, and I'm also a freelance fashion reporter. And today I'm going to talk about how to tie an ascot knot with a silk scarf for a tie. Now when I always think of ascot's I think of the guys in the smoking jackets with the little just tough, of like a cravat coming kind of up right there. But it's actually really nice for woman too. It's a nice way to kind of mix up a plain white shirt. And have a professional but kind of old school look. So it's a real simple knot. And usually this is one that even though it's, it's a tie it's not worn under the collar like under these parts of the collar. It's worn beneath so it's just kind of; it's a little pop of color. So you're going to bring it inside of the collar. Take it, make a simple knot there. Bring it up. And then you're going to want to spread this front piece out. And take these in and put them inside your shirt. And it helps sometimes to fold it up. Then inside under your buttons. And it's usual for this to not have such a long scarf so that you don't have so much of a puff here. But the idea is that it should lay somewhat flat and just fill up the little opening left by your collar. Keeps your neck warm and it kind of makes a dignified little look. That's how to tie an ascot knot."
