"Hi, my name is Rachel and I'm the owner of of Austin Style watch .com street fashion site and I'm also a freelance fashion reporter. Today we're going to talk about how to dress for a formal beach wedding. So, all bets are kind of off for a beach wedding its not your normal church wedding, you're not going to be in your normal church garb, its got some special exception rules so. We're going to talk about one of the places I look at as my example for formal beach wedding. This might seem a little low class but it's actually been a great example and it's very mainstream and that was on "The Girls Next door" on the E!Channel Holly Madison she's Hue Hefner's girlfriend. Her sister had a beach wedding and it was a great example in Jamaica of the casual kind of clothes you can wear or the beach wedding that's at a nice place but you're dealing with sand, your dealing with elements like wind so one of the first rules of the beach wedding is it's one of the few times you can actually wear white to a wedding. Light colored clothing is the key for a beach wedding. You're going to be in the sun, you're going to be outside, you're going to not want black or heavy things so white, pastels, light colors keep you nice and cool so take that opportunity you can actually wear white to a wedding that doesn't mean you can wear sequins or a vale or anything but whites alright. So you think you're going to want to think of is a hat you're probably going to be out in the wind it's going to be blowing your hair windy beaches so consider a hat. Looks nice, kind of hearkens back to the old formal weddings looks great. Third thing we're going to talk about is shoes. You may actually be inside, you may be on a deck but it's a pretty good bet that at some point during the wedding or the reception your going to end up walking through sand. You're going to be a comedic mess if you're walking through sand in high heels because you're going to sink in, you're going to fall everywhere, so you have two options you can either wear sensible flats or a type of fancy flip flop not your general dollar store flip flops it should be something nice and leather so wear flats or flip flops your other choice is to wear the high heels then when you get to the edge of the beach take them off and carry them in your hands you actually kind of carry them around like an accessory so it looks pretty nice as well but to recap light materials, natural fibers like linen, cotton, no polyesters, hat to protect you from the wind and keep your hair looking nice and then comfortable, sensible shoes for beach walking this has been how to dress for a formal beach wedding."
