"Hi I'm Patti German and I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist here in New York City. In this clip we are going to talk about how to tell your mat that you have an STD. I think this is a very very difficult thing to have to tell your mate and I think the most important thing is to be honest about it and to say that I have to talk to you about something and you know sit down and listen to me and if is too difficult because you had an affair or it is an old problem that you are newly in a relationship, it needs to be disclosed before you even have any sexual encounters with a partner because that can hurt even more if you don't inform your partner so I think it is important to just be able to sit and talk about it and tell your partner as soon as you possibly can. This is Patti German in New York City."
