"Hi, I'm Patti German. And I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist here in New York City. In this clip we're going to talk about how to identify the signs of suicide. Well it's very very difficult to, to, to see signs of suicide. What you might see in someone or even in yourself are tremendous feelings of hopelessness, of depression, of, of being very lethargic, not being able to, to find pleasure in life or or commit to doing anything. So suicide is like a feeling that goes through. And if one doesn't act upon those suicidal feelings in the moment, he doesn't commit suicide. So I, I just think if you or someone you know is very very depressed and very hopeless it's, it's time to talk with that person or or for yourself to maybe seek professional help to understand what the depression is about and the feelings of hopelessness. This is Patti German in New York City."
