"Hi I'm Patti German and I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist here in New York City. In this clip we are going to talk about how to cope with being alone on Valentine's Day. Valentine's Day is just an arbitrary day. I think it's important to understand that it's not about you and it's not about not being lovable. And to think about how you might want to change your life to have a loved person, someone to love in your life to share a day like Valentine's Day or any day. You know and I think it's important not to feel that you, that there is something wrong with you because you don't have someone on Valentine's Day. So I think a good thing to do for yourself on Valentine's Day is to maybe give yourself something special by yourself. Something, have a special meal, do something for yourself so that you don't feel that you are being left out. Again Valentine's Day is just one day, it's not about a life situation and to be able to give yourself a special a day anyway. This is Patti Germon in New York City."
