Video Transcript

"Hello, my name is Luis Estrada and I am a software developer. In this video I'll show how your visitors check for legitimate websites. It has been a lot of work creating your website to make sure that your potential customers can find you and that you can accept payment in exchange for your products or services. There's one thing that you need to earn from your customers before they decide to pay you, their trust. Your website should be able to provide information on the following. What are your obligations as a seller? What are the obligations of your customers? What actions will you take if a problem occurs and to insure the transactions in shipments? Provide both positive and negative feedback from previous feedback from previous customers. If you provide only positive feedback, the customers could think that you are inventing the information. If a customer gives you negative feedback try to explain what happened. Make sure that you did everything you could to keep that customer happy. Your potential customers will appreciate your honesty. Provide identifiable information like your name or the company's name an email address, a physical address and a telephone number. Specify office hours and make sure that you are able to answer the phone if one of your customers calls during those hours. Specify shipment costs before the customer buys the product. Do not force your customer to provide personally identifiable information like social security number, or drivers license numbers. However you could ask for their name, telephone number, email and physical address. Provide a page describing your privacy policy. Explain what you plan to do with your customer's information. Ask for their permission to send them emails in the future or to call them by phone to find out if they are satisfied with their products. I'm Luis Estrada and I've just showed you how to make money within your websites."
