"Hi, my name is Stacie Royer and I'm a Career Specialist from Austin, Texas. I'm going to talk to you today about becoming a Veterinarian. First thing that you'll need to know is that you have a love and passion for animals of all shapes, sizes and types. You'll also need to attend a four year college, preferably get your degree in pre-veterinary medicine. But you can really get your degree in anything, just as long as you have something that relates to biology and chemistry and all those different types of medical courses. You'll also want to apply for the Doctor of Veterinarian Medicine Program. There's about twenty different schools in the United States that has that type of program, so you can apply for any one of those twenty-seven to try to get accepted. Once you've completed that degree, then you'll want to take the North American Licensing Exam. And this is something that is regulated by North America, buy you also might have your state exam that you'll need to take. So you'll want to look into your state requirements to find out if they require a state exam so that way you can take it to fulfill the necessary education on rules and regulations that your state requires. And that's how you become a Veterinarian."
