Occupational Therapists are usually self starters, we have a high ethical standard and love people. Whenever you decide that you want to become an Occupational Therapist, you'll want to obtain your Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy. Not all universities offer this type of degree, so you'll definitely want to check out your organization first before you enroll into that college. You'll also want to take the National Board of, it's the National Board Certification of Occupational Therapists. That will provide you with the licensing that you'll need once you pass that exam. You can also during this time start volunteering at local hospitals or clinics to help you gain the knowledge and start networking that you'll need to start this type of career."
