"Dress codes can be tricky for management and employees. My name is Gloria Campbell and I'm with Advantage Training Systems located in sunny St. Petersburg, Florida giving you the best way to enforce a dress code. The best way to enforce a dress code is for you to model what that dress code should look like. If you're the manager and it is business casual, that includes khakis, a shirt, shoes, make sure that you model it. The second thing you want to make sure is that it is a written policy. I will tell you right now you will be challenged time and time again if you try and talk with someone about something they have on the first thing they are going to say is where is it written so make sure that policy is written, make sure that you model the behavior or the dress code and then also make sure that anyone that does not adhere to that that they receive a reprimand immediately. Dress codes are tricky things. I'll tell you this if you don't stop the slippery slope you will have things that will be out of control. My name is Gloria Campbell.
