"Hi. This is Laura Turner and today I'm going to talk with you about how to keep a personal journal. The first thing of course that you want to do, is you want to buy a journal that is sturdy and is big enough to contain all of your thoughts. So, if you think that you're going to be using it everyday, you should find one that has enough pages in it to write at least for a year in it. Once you find the perfect journal, that is not only inspiring to you but also functional, you should set a time everyday to sit down and write in your journal. It doesn't matter if your day was completely boring, still write some sort of reflection on your day. This will help you to get into the routine of having to write in your journal everyday, and really wanting to write down all of your thoughts. Record all of your memories, your thoughts, your fears in your journal and even when you do that, your journal can become sort of like a memoir that you're working on. Include pictures, mementos of your life in your journal if you'd like, so you're going to sort of expand it to be something even bigger. Something that you really want to work on everyday. Also, instead of using just your standard regular hardcover real journal, you can actually keep an online journal, if that's a little more accessible for you. And you can, you know, sort of log in and journal yourself. If you don't want anybody to ready your online journal, you can keep a private online journal. They have those as well. And trust me, I think that you will be happy when you look back in a year or two and you say, you know, what was I doing at this time last September? And you're actually able to go back into your journal and read what you were doing, and you've really totally forgotten about what you had been doing. So journals are very interesting for reflecting on your life and for figuring out what's going to happen with you in the future."
