"Hi, this is Laura Turner, and today we're going to talk about how to improve your creative writing. The best thing that you can do for yourself as a writer is to read other writers work. It's always something that we say, you know, I don't have enough time to do this. But if you have enough time to write, you have enough time to read. So read a lot. Read more. Read often. Next, write often. Write everyday if you can. If you write everyday you will get better at writing. The more writing that you complete, the better you will become. Because with every piece of writing you're going to learn something new and you're going to become better at it. Next, get somebody to read your writing for you and actually give you feedback on it. Hearing other people's opinions of your writing is going to help you to become a better writer. Once you've heard their notes or once you've made your own notes, actually sit down and rewrite. Rewriting is probably the biggest piece of advice I can give you for improving your writing. Because it's not just writing a lot that's going to totally improve you, it's writing and then going back. Assessing what does not work, and then rewriting that portion or that entire piece. And next, the final piece of advice, rewrite. Rewrite again. And rewrite often. And that's my advice for improving your creative writing."
