"Hi, this is Laura Turner. Today I'm going to talk to you about how to train to become a teacher. First if all if you know that you want to become a teacher when you're in college that's great and what you need to do while you're in college and in there for, is to get a teaching degree or a degree that will also give you certification. So, earn your degree in whatever discipline you need to learn it in whatever you're most passionate about what you want to teach. And then make sure that you can get something on top of that, that will allow you to teach. Also, whenever you get your education degree you're going to be doing some student teaching. So during your student teaching time, take that time as your training time to train yourself how to teach. Really prepare for your student teaching and really take it very seriously and really observe what you do when you teach write down everything that you know that you need to work on. Revise you lesson plans, keep all of your notes in one place and sort of build up a store of things that you can use later for when you actually are a teacher. Next, whenever you move to the state in which you want to teach, you may actually have to go through a separate certification program even you've gotten your education degree. most states require that you sort of prove your certification and most schools require that you have certification before you can teach. So know what is required of that because every state is different. And finally, if you want to train to become a teacher just go out and teach and find opportunities in which to do that.
