Video Transcript

"Hello, my name is Luis Estrada, and I'm a software developer. In this video, I'll show you how to redirect a website to a different URL, with FrontPage. FrontPage is a registered trademark of Microsoft, a company to which I have no affiliation. Create a new page. In Design Mode, right click on it, and select Page Properties. Go to the Custom tab. We will add a new HTTP EQUEV attribute. This attribute allows you to send additional information to the browser about the page. Press Add. The name of the new Variable, is refresh, and it's value is the combination of the number of seconds that the web browser waits, before redirecting, and the new address specified in the URL attribute. We will set the number of seconds to 2. I will write the text the user will see before being redirected. Now, select the Preview mode, and you'll be redirected to the specified page. This is very useful, when you already have a domain name, that is indexed by search engines, and you don't want to lose your traffic, when you move your website to another domain. Your old users will type your old domain name, and they will be redirected to the new one. I'm Luis Estrada, and I've just showed you how to create a multimedia website, using FrontPage."
